Who is the American in Provence? My name is Elaine Garcin and I have lived in my adopted hometown in the south of France for 20 years.

A seasoned tourism specialist, I have experience working at the Avignon Tourist Office and as a French/English interpreter. I have also taught ESL (English as a second language) courses and have been employed as an au pair.

I grew up in Atlanta. After earning my BA in anthropology and French, I decided to move to France to immerse myself in the language and culture. Eventually I settled with my husband near Avignon where he was born and raised and where we have raised our own family together.
